Belguim - Ghent, Brugges and Brussels

Ok, so we left London, flew to Brussels and then caught a train to Ghent. We stayed at De Drake Hostel, which was very close to the old town. Walked around the town checking out the castle and cathedrals etc. by day. We spent both evenings down by the river drinking wine and watching the people pass us by. Very nice spot.

Of course we had to sample the local beers. There were too many to choose from, so Sean decided on one that was 12% and another that was only 9%. Both very good! Then we went back to the hostel for cheaper, happy hour prices.

The stained glass windows in the cathedrals are amazing, Shannon loves them. There are many more photos, but one will be enough for now.

Our next stop was Brugges. A lovely little town. As you can see, the weather has been superb so far.

So many churchs and museums, so we broke it up with a tour of a brewery. The tour ends with a free sample. I think one of Sean´s highlites so far.

It´s all mine! (Sean getting a little too greedy with the Belgian beer).

From Brugges to Brussels, where of course we paid a visit to Mannekin Pis, who was strangely dressed as Nelson Mandela the day we were there.

Also tried the ¨Mussels from Brussels¨.
